Depicted here are some of the animals of Barbados. Apart from the well known
green monkey, Barbados is also home to other animals including the black belly
sheep, the mongoose, eight species of bats, three varieties of lizards,
whistling frogs and toads.
The island is also a haven for turtles including the Hawksbill and
Leatherback Turtles, and boasts over 100 different bird species although only
about 20 are actually resident in Barbados year round.
