Crane Beach

Crane Beach is located on the south east coast of Barbados in the parish of St. Philip and is rated as one of the top ten beaches in the world by Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous!

With its rugged cliffs, rolling dunes, pink-tinged sand, fresh steady breezes and incredible water, it's well worth the visit.

Things to Do
The sea here can be rough but is excellent for body boarding and generally safe for swimming, however please note there is no life guard on duty. Boogie boards, umbrellas, and beach chairs are available for rent on the beach.

Up on the cliff is The Crane Hotel where you can have lunch at their restaurant, L'Azure, offering stunning views of the whole beach. If you park at the hotel there is a BDS$25 per person entrance fee redeemable at the bar or restaurant.

Features
• Boogie Board Rentals
• Beach Chair and Umbrella Rentals
• Cold drinks sold on the beach
• The Crane hotel restaurant and bar

Driving Directions
From Grantley Adams International Airport, head north following the signs for Sam Lord's Castle. The road bends to the right and is signposted Sam Lord's, follow the road right, then the road bends left, and is signposted The Crane.

Follow the road past Budget Supermarket, where you may wish to stop and pick up picnic supplies, and then go past St. Martin's Church. Go past Foul Bay on your right. Along this road you will see the entrance to The Crane Hotel, turn in here if you wish to park in the hotel. Alternatively, continue past the hotel entrance and when you come to a small roundabout, turn right, this is the public beach access to the Crane Beach.

You must be able bodied to reach this beach. Parking at the end of the road, you will see a staircase, which then leads onto stepping stones across the rocks.
