Ginger Beach

Ginger beach, located on the south east coast of the island in the parish of St. Philip, is one of Barbados' best kept secrets.

This stunning beach is usually quiet so ideal for a romantic picnic or a day's serious sunbathing, there are strong cool breezes so watch out for sunburn, you may not feel quite how strong the sun is especially between 10am and 3pm.

Things to Do
This small bay has a wealth of treasures, such as hidden caves, white sand, swaying palm trees and blue water. Swimming here can be rough and watch out for undercurrents. There is no lifeguard on duty so don't swim alone.

There are no amenities here such as toilets, showers, or anywhere to buy food and drink so when planning a trip to this delightful bay, take everything you will need for the day with you.

You must be able bodied to reach this beach as you have to climb down a set of stairs to get to the beach.

Features
• Lovely white sandy beach
• Trees for shade
• No lifeguard
• Caves

Driving Directions
