If you choose to rent a luxury villa then you will be pampered by a team of staff on hand to make your stay as pleasant as possible. These staff include a chef to prepare your meals, a housekeeper to take care of the property, a gardener and usually security. These properties normally come with a swimming pool so that you can just relax by the pool and not have to venture too far.

There are a number of tourist attractions in this parish, such as Chalky Mount which is home to clusters of potters, who have been creating earth ware for generations, here you can pick up some inexpensive unique pieces.
If you decide to rent a beach house in this area, you will find that they are quite basic; this is because the sea spray erodes materials very quickly, so owners keep them clean and simple.
However, these beach houses provide a delightful retreat from the hustle and bustle of busier parts of the island such as the west and south coasts, but can be an option for a few days break within your Barbados holiday.
There are some lovely beaches in the parish of St. Andrew, where you can go for long walks. A great stretch of beach for long walks is Morgan Lewis beach, which then turns into Lakes Beach and then Walkers Beach.
Also by choosing to stay in St. Andrew you are very close to all the surfing action in neighboring St. Joseph, where you will find the 'soup bowl' in Bathsheba, a well-known spot for professional surfers.
If you have children in your group then the parish of St. Andrew doesn't really have much to offer the little ones. Older children would enjoy the sightseeing and beach combing, but the south and west coast has a lot more to offer and plenty of beach activity for children.
