Competitors and their friends & families come from as near as Trinidad and Jamiaca, to as far as the UK, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Austria and more to take part in a week of festivities, including the two days of Rally Barbados.
The event has been won twice in its 17 year history by the same Irishman, Kenny McKinstry; once by Jamaican Jeffrey Panton and once by fellow Jamaican Gary Gregg;the remaining 13 editions have been won by locals - dominated by Roger Skeete with 10 wins. World Class cars, world class driving talent, spectator enthusiasm like nowhere else in the world - they all combine to generate an extreme weekend of fun and motorsport in the sun.
If you are a motorsport fan, especially a Rally fan, this is truly a weekend in Barbados not to be missed. 30,000 spectators out of a population of 300,000 says it all - this is the biggest spectator sport on the Island.
