Ben Mar, the official residence of the British High Commissioner, is opened today through the kind permission of His Excellency Duncan Taylor and his wife Bebe.  Ben Mar was built in the mid 1920s with many classic Barbadian features.  Its large social areas both indoors and out, makes this an ideal place for diplomatic entertaining.

Directions: From the Emancipation Statue Roundabout on the ABC Highway: head towards Bridgetown.  At the second set of traffic lights, bear left and keep left.  Go uphill, pass Government House and bear right almost immediately.  It's the first house on the left, but please note that parking is at St. Winifred's School (left uphill after Government House from 2pm to 6pm).  Please park as directed.  Disabled persons may be set down at the house.
