The Gale Theatre of London and Barbados, producer of 07’s highly acclaimed "Blithe Spirit", returns to the Frank Collymore Hall in 08, with Shakespeare's most fascinating thriller, MACBETH.
London based director, Glen Walford, also returns. Glen has directed Macbeth three times, in three different languages across the world, but is looking forward to working in Barbados with Gale on this production, influenced and inspired by the Caribbean.
This Anglo/Barbadian Company is preparing for its second season, combining the talents of Barbadian and UK actors. Extensive auditions have been held and this imaginative and innovative company will be led by the highly acclaimed Barbadian actress Alison Sealy Smith, as Lady Macbeth. Alison was recently seen in the Frank Collymore Hall, starring in the sell-out production of Austin Clarke's 'The Polished Hoe. The full company will be announced shortly.
