Survivors Project - A Skylarc Film
|
The Survivors Project: Voices from the Inside-Out explores the traumatic implications of gun violence on young people and young black men in particular, living in low-income, racialized neighbourhoods.
The film follows the story of a Grenadian born, ex-gang member from "The Town" in Toronto, Canada.
Following the screening is a panel discussion featuring professionals in the areas of education, law enforcement, crime, social work and mental health.
The aim: To heighten awareness of the importance of establishing crisis response/trauma intervention initiatives in Barbados.
At the Errol Barrow Centre for Creative Imagination.
Starts at 7pm
