THE JOHN BARRY FUND
Many of you may remember British-Born (But now a 'Bajan British')
John Barry from his 'radio days' when he was a major personality on
Barbados' airwaves, presenting us with some great rockin' and informative musical experiences of many genres.
John, himself a musician and 'musicologist' inspired quite a few young people by his excellence as a broadcaster, to seek successful careers in that field. He is also a drummer, theatre lighting and sound designer, and qualified Electrical engineer.
In August 2006 John suffered a serious hemorrhagic stroke. In February 2007 there was another stroke. There were other complications. He survived, but is paralysed on his right side and confined to a wheelchair.
Though completely aware, he still cannot speak, but with the help of his dedicated nurses, he is trying hard. It is going to be a long difficult road to recovery. All things are possible.
John's personal funds have now been depleted, and he needs your help.
An account has been established at First Caribbean International Bank,
Rendezvous, Christ Church, Barbados, to assist John to continue to enjoy a reasonable and comfortable standard of living.
Please Help John by signing a pledge form; every contribution will be most gratefully and blessedly received.
