Guitar Summer workshop
|
The Barbados Community College Division of Fine Arts presents a Guitar Summer Workshop.
This is an introductory course for beginning to intermediate guitarists. The program will be conducted in group sessions, and will touch on all the basic skills a guitar player needs. This course can help prospective students to prepare for the BCC music program.
* melody: reading and performing a melody on guitar
* harmony: playing chords and reading a chord chart, accompanying
techniques
* technique: fretboard mechanics, expression techniques, rhythm
techniques
* improvisation: using major and minor scales
* repertoire: jazz, bossa-nova and popular music pieces
Performance Hall of The Barbados Community College, Morningside.
Workshop sessions will be on Saturdays 1pm to 3pm.
Please contact Student Affairs at 426-8258, not later than July 4th to register.
