Emancipation Day Celebration

Walk from Independence Square to Bay Street Esplanade. Gather for 6:30am.

Join the Rhythm Section, Little People Fun and Frolic, the Landship, Community Groups, Churches and many others.

From 8am to 10am: Cultural Rally with performances by Paula Hinds, Israel Lovell Foundation, Adrian Green, Dancin' Africa.

Bring a flower for the tribute to the ancestors.

See the return of the Griot Amazing Stick Licking demonstrations. Visit the recreated Goree Island Fashion by live mannequins.

Enjoy succulent African, Caribbean, Bajan and Ital food.

Purchase beautiful craft, jewellery and artwork.

Performances by DJ Radar, DJ Korrupt, Blak Klay sol, Judah Blackness and Bobo.

Judging for the Summer Camp Emancipation Poster Competition at Independence Square.
