» October 19th, 2008 - BRC Gravel Rally
» November 1st and 2nd, 2008 - The final round of the BRC Gravel Rally Championship
The 2008 Barbados Rally Club (BRC) Virgin Atlantic RallySport Championship reaches its
climax at the BRC Winter Rally; this new event on the Club's calendar is a gravel rally, featuring a total of 12 stages, split into three routes, one on Saturday evening and two on Sunday.
The Briefing Meeting will be held on Thursday (October 30th, 2008), at the Barbados Clay Target Shooting Association (BCTSA) clubhouse in Christ Church; entries will be taken from 7.00 to 7.30pm, immediately after which the Briefing Meeting will start.
All competitors must be ready for scrutineering in the Searles Factory Yard by 4.30pm, with the start scheduled for 6.00pm. Four stages will be run in Searles before the overnight halt.
On Sunday, the rally will restart from Guinea at 9.00am, with four stages in Guinea comprising the second route; after the lunch halt in the Searles Factory Yard at around mid-day, the rally will restart at 1.00pm, the final route comprising four stages in Searles, the course running in the reverse direction from Saturday.
The BRC Winter Rally will finish at the BCTSA clubhouse with a social. Some of the extensive European television coverage of Sol Rally Barbados 2008 will be shown. All are invited to help our competitors celebrate the close of a hard-fought season.
