Virgin Atlantic Music Festival 2008 - Friday November 7th 2008

Willow and Limehouse Lizzy at The Beach House in Holetown St. James Barbados.

The fifth night on tour for The Virgin Atlantic Music Festival was held at The Beach House, Holetown, St. James where Willow, lead singer from the Dublin band Chamber Games and Limehouse Lizzy, the UK's leading tribute band to Thin Lizzy both gave outstanding performances.

The Beach House laid on a fixed dinner menu; where festival-goers could enjoy a full sit down meal with Willow singing an acoustic dinner set. Virgin Atlantic also used the evening as a VIP night for all their frequent flyers and business associates who were treated to a complimentary bar and a grill offering mini burgers and bites.

Willow, who is lead singer with the Irish band Chamber Games from Dublin. They had given a full band performance at The Hellraiser's Ball down at Surfer's bay on the opening night of The Big Weekend down at Surfer's Bay, a week before. And Willow had performed solo at the Bonfire Jam again at Surfer's Bay earlier on in the week.

Willow had performed at The Virgin Atlantic Music Festival 2007, and has the voice of an angel. For the acoustic dinner set Willow, a fresh faced 23 year old, showed her courage and determination as singer songwriter as she sat alone on a big stage and sang her own original material and covered some classic tunes such as "Red House' in her own unique style.

The dinner guests thoroughly enjoyed her performance and once desert was out of the way, they kicked off their shoes and hit the dance floor for a full live performance by Limehouse Lizzy.

Limehouse Lizzy have recently been the subject of a BBC documentary when the series Arena featured them in 'Into the Limelight', which showcased their talents as the UK's leading tribute to Thin Lizzy.

With Wayne Ellis on lead vocals and bass guitar, Greg Alcock and Tim Read on guitar and Andy Fox on drums, they were note perfect to the original Thin Lizzy, but after 15 years on the road in tribute to them you would expect them to pretty good at it by now!
