Join us in Barbados at Chatters Team Room for afternoon tea in a historical Barbadian Plantation House called Bagatelle Great House circa 1645.
Tea Room open 5 days a week from (Wednesday to Sunday) 11:30 am - 4:30 pm. Reservations are recommended.
Choose from our menu that offers a sumptuous 3 course tea served on beautiful tiered cake plates or a single but oh so satisfying course of mouth watering scones topped off with strawberries and English style clotted cream.
Chatters is fast becoming known for excellent quality, be it the delicate sandwiches accompanied by a warm savoury pastry or the delicious assortment of cakes and tartlets and not to mention the scones that are reputed the best in the island.
But perhaps the most gratifying aspect of Chatters is the caring and attentive service that compliments the ambiance. Staff are dedicated to making sure that the Chatters experience is a treasured and memorable one.
Just being in the historic home of the first governor of Barbados, enjoying the tranquil gardens and gentle breezes, sipping delicious tea, surrounded by elegant china, the sound of congenial conversation and friendly laughter all are the ingredients of a perfect totally TEAmendous afternoon.

Chatters is a delight all round. The setting is restful and airy and the verandah overlooks an attractive garden. The whole experience evokes memories of many English afternoon teas I have enjoyed in my life.
Visiting Chatters is always a pleasant occasion not only for the sumptuous array of teatime goodies, but for the opportunity to use pretty china. Definitely on a par with many afternoon tea venues I have frequented in London and UK as a whole.
I shall be visiting again soon I hope!

I'm proud to say, that I " started " Chatters Tea Room " in the Old Plantation House called Bagatelle. It was a dream come true...in exactly the kind of location I'd wanted for years. Virginia ... now the Executive Mgr.operating the Tea room has done a wonderful job for 2 1/2 years. She still maintains the high quality of food and service required in this kind of operation. The Best of Luck for many years to come.

My experience at Chatters Tea Room was very good. Our lone waitress did her job superbly,i.e. she was quite attentive and polite.
The fine bone china and porcelain, the patio overlooking the garden and the selections chosen for the menu made it a delightful evening.
