The west coast possibly offers the most varied shopping outside of Bridgetown.
Amongst many other shops, Speightstown has the Gallery of Caribbean Art, The Shell Gallery with lovely shells of the world and shell related gifts, and 3 Diamonds International jewellery boutiques. Speightstown tends to be a bit livelier than Holetown, but not as large, or as busy, as Bridgetown. Again, you can find local and international merchandise there.
Holetown is more relaxed, more spaced out and just as fabulous shopping wise.
From multi-storey shopping complexes featuring international stores and brand names to small, intricate, chattel houses hosting local crafts and merchandise; Holetown is a paradise for people shopping in Barbados.
The modern West Coast Mall has been renovated to include an excellent range of tax free stores, including a much expanded Diamonds International, Pages Bookstore, Cave Shepherd, an internet café, Madison Boutique and the Super Centre Supermarket.
Next door you can't miss the charming Chattel Village, a colourful cluster of interesting chattel house shops. Nestled in this attractive shopping village is a Best of Barbados Shop, a Walkers World, a Ganzee T-Shirt Shop, The Gourmet Shop, Dingolay West who produce an impressive selection of high quality and reasonably priced casual and formal resort wear and the wonderful Lazy Days swimwear and surf shop.
