There are a number of sports played on the island for you to take part in or just for you to enjoy as a spectator.
Barbados Cricket Vacations
Cricket is the most popular sport in Barbados, and watching the West Indies Cricket team is a national pass time. If Barbadians are not watching cricket then they are playing it, from small boys in the street to grown men in full cricket whites. There are a number of Cricket Clubs on the island and they often tour to play against English cricket clubs and vice versa, a number of English Cricket Clubs come on tour to Barbados to play against the local teams. For the diver, Barbados is an absolute paradise with warm tranquil waters and an underwater haven of colourful tropical fish and beautiful coral to be investigated. Rugby is also played in Barbados, and again Barbadian teams visit other countries to play the game and are happy to host visiting rugby teams.

Football is played quite widely on the island and there is even a Barbadian Football League, and football coaches working on the island to improve team skills. You can usually catch a game to watch at Dover Playing Fields at the end of St. Lawrence Gap both mid week and on the weekend. For national games the Barbados national team play their games at the Barbados National Stadium.
