Every night is a party night if you are on holiday in Barbados. There is plenty of live entertainment, a variety of music and some great nightspots to choose from if you want to have fun and dance until the early hours.
Depending on the time of year that you choose to come to Barbados, some months are busier than others as there is usually a celebration or festival going on; so we have broken this down for you month by month for you to choose which party suits you best.

There is also a lot of party action during the day, as there are a few party boats offering daytime cruises and even a dinner cruise is available with live entertainment and dancing on board.
In the first three months of the year, January, February and March the island fills up with wind sports enthusiasts who enjoy the wind and waves of the south coast for kite and wind surfing and after a hard day on sea they hit the south coast nightspots, in particular St. Lawrence Gap.
Other party venues include 2nd Street in Holetown on the west coast.

The island also gets busy with visitors during spring break and at Easter, and local venues will host bands and create a party atmosphere for all the extra people in Barbados.
As a nation Barbadians start to party in May as it marks the end of the sugar cane season and a long festival called Crop Over.
This is a tradition dating back to the days of slavery on the island, a time when the African slaves would celebrate the end of their hard work for another year in the cane fields. They would celebrate through dance and song and in that respect not much has changed today.
The party starts with Calvacades, which are concerts held in each parish of the island showcasing this years up and coming performing artists, the music is usually soca and calypso.

In November a new event has been added to the calendar and that is The Virgin Atlantic Music Festival, where English and Irish bands fly in to perform rock, folk and blues at various venues all over the island.
In December locals and visitors alike get in Christmas mode and the round of Christmas parties begin. Visitors arrive to spend Christmas in a warm climate and Barbadians who love to celebrate Christmas are also out celebrating with work colleagues and family members.
If you want a non-stop fun packed holiday then Barbados is the ideal destination for you and your friends, here you can party all night and all day on the beach.
There are lots of night clubs and late night bars, most of which offer at least one drinks free party night, so you just pay a fixed fee to get in and then the bar is free all night.....now that is a party you don't want to miss!
