Barbados boasts one of the best cruise ship terminals in the world, and is the only place is the Caribbean that the luxurious cruise liner the Queen Mary can dock. Cruise Ships sail in to Barbados daily, with numbers recently peaking at over 10,000 passengers coming through the port in one day! Cruises come to Barbados throughout the year but the busiest times are in the winter months from November until May.

The Carnival Destiny makes a weekly stop in Barbados, and the Barbados Cruise Terminal is her home port. For Carnival Cruise Lines Barbados is one of its main hubs.
 
The Bridgetown Cruise Terminal has excellent facilities for shopping, and is within walking distance to Bridgetown where you can save money on excellent duty free goods. Many cruise passengers just dock here for the day and therefore like to go on an island tour operated by one the local tour guides, to ensure they see as much as possible in their short visit.
