Cockade House is located in St.Thomas in the middle of the island.
Originally Cockade House was built in the 1700's as a sugar plantation house set in over 7 acres of land. In 1971 it was lucky enough to undergo a complete restoration and transformation by renowned English theatre designer Oliver Messel. He had previously transformed Fustic House in St. Lucy, which is now the holiday home of the rich and famous.
With Oliver Messel's reputation and tasteful decoration Cockade House is now also a holiday home for the elite. It is a delightful country house hidden behind a driveway of Mahogany trees with 2 bedrooms and spacious living accommodation with views of the Caribbean Sea and Sandy Lane Golf Course.
The property has its own swimming pool and a guest cottage with a further 2 bedrooms along with a self contained pavilion.
The property is not open to the public but is available to rent as a private holiday home. It is fully staffed with a cook, laundress, butler and gardener. During high season the property rents for $1800US per night and in low season $750US per night for up to 6 people.
