Barbados Relaxing Vacations

Barbados Relaxing Vacations

If you are looking for complete rest and a relaxing vacation then there is no better destination than Barbados.

The natural environment of white sandy beaches, clear blue seas, cool breezes and swaying palm trees forces you to unwind and relax.

For the ultimate rest and relaxation you will need plenty of sleep therefore it is important that you choose your accommodation on one of the quieter coasts such as the west coast where there is a haven of peace and quiet but some nightlife if you feel like partying nearby.

The south coast has lots of nightlife therefore this coast might not be the best if you want a quiet holiday.

For the ultimate in peace and tranquility then you may choose to stay on the east coast, where you will find many beautiful beach houses and hotels to rent where you will not be disturbed.

You also want to choose a hotel where your every need is catered for so you can be pampered and make the most of your well-earned break. Some hotels on the island assign you your own personal ambassador, who is on hand to deliver your drinks and food and organize anything else that you need during your stay such as excursions and candle lit dining on the beach.

It can be difficult for some people to switch off; therefore you may like to break yourself in gently to the relaxation business. Therefore we suggest that you kick off your vacation with a trip to one of the islands many health spas.

Here you can start with a full body massage, unwind in the sauna and feel the invigoration of jumping in to an ice cold plunge pool! You can enjoy many top to toe treatments from an Indian head massage down to reflexology.

There are so many beautiful beaches in Barbados that you will be spoilt for choice, but if you head to the east coast or parts of the west you will find deserted beaches where you can just relax with your book and enjoy a nice picnic.

Another way to unwind is to enjoy a meal overlooking the ocean, either during the day or at night. Many of the island’s fine dining restaurants are located on the seafront and provide ocean front dining; therefore wherever you choose to eat it will be a relaxing experience.

If you want to go out and explore the island there are also many relaxing options open to you. You could visit one of the island’s many nature sanctuaries, botanical gardens or historical plantation houses. All of which make for a lovely day out without too much exertion.

Another way to see the island’s beauty while lazing around is to take a trip on a catamaran where you can sun bathe all day, enjoy a long leisurely lunch and then take a tranquil swim with the sea turtles.

Maybe you find relaxation in being active, in which case then you may like to go out deep sea fishing or playing a round of golf. Another great place to feel at one with the world is to go diving on one of the island’s tropical reefs.

Whatever you need to relax you will find it readily available in Barbados.
