Totally Barbados Agriculture Statistics provide an array of information on the agricultural sector in Barbados.

Sugar
Contribution to GDP $14.8 million
Tonnes of sugar produced 34.4 thousand tonnes
Exports 32.9 thousand tonnes to European Market
Export Earnings Due to the appreciating euro, export prices increased. Therefore export earnings increased even though sugar exports were lower than the previous year.
Foreign exchange earnings $44.9 million

Vegetables
The area under vegetable production 423.8 crop hectares
Total vegetable production 6,254,000 kgs
Total vegetable imports 2,231,197 kgs

Note: Adverse weather conditions lead to a lower output of vegetables which meant higher vegetable imports.

Fisheries
Fisheries output 2,133.2 tonnes landed
*note that this is the lowest recorded fish catch in the last decade
Flying Fish Landings 1,185.6 tonnes
