St George Accommodation

There are no hotels located in St. George, but there are several self-catering apartments and houses available for short term accommodation in St. George.

St. George has fields upon fields of sugar cane swaying in the gentle breeze and is a very tranquil parish located in the middle of the island and so has no coastline around it.

However, this lush valley commands breathtaking views of the south coast and is an excellent accommodation choice to locate you centrally to get around the island.

If you have been to Barbados before and are looking for something other than lying on the beach, then St. George is an excellent accommodation choice.

Properties are slightly cheaper to rent in this parish, yet you are still close enough to neighboring Christ Church and St. Michael if you want to enjoy the nightlife of Barbados.

The beauty of self-catering rentals in St. George is that you can come and go as you please and relax in your quiet surroundings. Yet if you want things to do, you can rent a car and tour the island, with everything only being between 15-20 minutes’ drive away.

Another benefit when you decide to stay in St. George is that this parish has several tourist attractions and is centrally located to get to the east and west coasts. Here you will find botanical gardens and historic houses to look around.

If you are interested in historic buildings, then you will be delighted to visit Drax Hall, one of only three remaining Jacobean properties in the western hemisphere.

In this parish, you will also find Francia Plantation House, which is open daily to the public.
