Barbados Tourism Authority Receives Another Award

The Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA) has received another top award from the British travel industry.

At the 30th Annual Travel Weekly Globe Awards hosted on January 16th 2007, Barbados surpassed major nominees such as Australia, Spain, Britain and South Africa and won the prestigious 2007 Travel Weekly Globe Award for Best Tourist Board (UK Office).

Petra Roach, Vice-President Marketing and Sales for Europe who received the award said that, “We are immensely proud to have won this award for the third time.

This achievement clearly shows that you don’t have to have a large office or extravagant budget to impact the market.

This award is not just for the BTA but an achievement for all of our tourism partners on the ground in Barbados”.
