Diamonds World Tour and Rihanna Comes to Barbados

Bridgetown, Barbados – October 12, 2013

Diamonds World Tour and Rihanna comes to Barbados on November 1st, 2013.

The name Rihanna is now synonymous with Barbados. This mega star has placed this island of 166.4 sq miles with a population of 283,221 on the map. She continues to do so with her Diamonds World Tour.

Scores of locals and foreigners alike are expected to flock the grounds of the Kensington Oval on November 1st, 2013.

A representative from local advertisers, G & A Communications Inc. told Totally Barbados, “We are catering to locals and visitors to the island, ages 18-65, music lovers and supporters of Rihanna who became one of the biggest stars in music.”

GTA, a band of deejays that play a variety of music, will be the opening act for the event.

Rihanna has just completed a successful run throughout Europe, China as well as Manila, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Abu Dhabi, Tel Aviv and San Juan. She will perform in Barbados before returning to the U.S. for the final leg of the tour.

According to her local promoters, Rihanna is referred to as the “#1 Person On Facebook” with over 74 million fans and over 30 million Twitter followers.

Forbes named Rihanna the world’s #1 social media star and the “Vevo Empress” has just reached another milestone with over 4 billion views on YouTube / VEVO, the most ever for any artist.

They expect the show to be a successful one with tickets sales rising.
“Diamonds” has become one of the Barbadian artist’s hottest singles, dominating global charts. It is said to be “the fastest-rising single of her career to date” and first single to be released from UNAPOLOGETIC, her 7th studio album for Island Def Jam in just seven years.

This album has become her 6th Platinum in the USA.

Rihanna has received six (6) Grammy Awards and seven (7) Billboard Music Awards, has sold over 41 million albums and 150 million digital tracks worldwide, and currently holds the record as the top-selling digital artist of all time.
