Dover beach is one of the liveliest beaches on the south coast, due to the high density of hotels in the area. This lovely expanse of beach is good for swimming and ideal for children.
Things to Do
There are toilets, showers, food, refreshments and a children's play ground all centrally located. There is a lifeguard on duty and you can rent beach chairs for $5 BDS, and umbrellas for $5 BDS per day.
The beach really is action packed with beach volleyball, hair braiding, vendors selling local craft and jewellery, and many water sports operators.
You may like to take the family Hobie Cat sailing for $80BDS for 2 people for 30 minutes or you may like to learn to sail one yourself, which costs $150BDS for 3 hours.
There are Jet Skis to rent, which are $25US for 15 minutes, $50US for 30 minutes or $100US for an hour.
You can learn to windsurf or surf for $50US per hour. Or you can just rent boards for $50BDS.
There is a lot to do on this beach, so if you are looking just to relax then this isn't the beach for you, but if you want a busy day then Dover is the place to go.
