The Hastings area is one of the busier areas of Barbados outside of the major towns. Therefore, hotels, vacation homes, restaurants, boutiques, and all types of shops are within walking distance and are mostly located on the beach.
Things to Do
The promenade has a bandstand, a children’s play area, toilets, showers, benches, and picnic tables. The sea here is very rocky and not really suitable for swimming. There are no beach chairs to rent, nor any food or drink outlets on the beach; however, there is a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant on the main road.
Because of all the low levels of reefs along the beach, shells and coral often wash ashore, and collecting these tropical treasures can provide hours of entertainment for both young and old.

Life On De Rock – December 21, 2020 – Hastings Boardwalk
I know, I know, I was supposed to be chillaxing today, flat on my back on the sand…oh, I am gonna do that, but first, I am gonna collect this awesomeness and send it to you.
Thank you, NCC, for the free wifi…
From Bridgetown, head along the south coast road towards Oistins, you will see The Royal Bank of Canada on your left, and then on your right, you will see the promenade.
