Who ever got the idea of changing the name to Cockspur? Never heard of it, Malibu is the islands Rum and the Coconut Island feeling originates from Malibu. I would think twice about coming back again after this unfortunately, been there plenty of times in the past with friends and family and have been served many wonderful drinks by Donna especially.
Can one still get Intimate Encounter and the rest of the original Malibu Beach Club drinks, or has that changed in an instant aswell?
Sad to see this change!
Best regards

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful day at Cockspur Beach. The Rum Punch was to die for. We forgot to buy some rum punch to take home with us. We want to go back there again in the future. We were there Oct. 19th, 2010 and we witnessed a wedding as well. The water was beautiful and total relaxation. It wasn't expensive at all.

In January 2011, I was fortunate to go on a Royal Clipper Cruise (which was wonderful). It began and ended in Barbados. On the departure day, we came to the Cockspur Beach Club to swim, sun, eat and drink before the long flight home. The Cockspur was wonderful! The beaches were so nice and all sand, so you did not have to wear aqua shoes! White sand, turquoise waters, nice box lunch and great rum punch...there was no way to go wrong! The staff were so helpful and informative. There were island artists with some great treats to buy and take home. There are showers, lockers and changing facilities. Everything was very clean. It was a hidden pleasure that some in our group did not 'find'... and that was a shame for them! I have some wonderful pictures of the beach club. So, before you sit at the airport for that afternoon or evening flight home, do yourself a treat and go to Cockspur Beach Club. You will not regret it!

We are honeymooners on an Oct 16, 2010 cruise and the taxi (van) took our group to this beach - we were so impressed and pleased ! The small quaint beach was not crowded, very quiet (very few walking local salesman on the beach) and I witnessed a beautiful wedding at the same time! Their washroom/dressing room was so clean !!! I cannot recommend this beach enough. Especially if you want peach and quiet.

We have been going to Malibu Beach Club for the past 10 years. We would pay one price for round trip transportation, chairs, umbrellas, lunch and drinks. Approx. $35.00 USD per person.Does the Cockspur Beach Club offer the same deal? We will be in Barbados in May 2010.
