Monday January 11th, 2010
Artists: Etienne Charles and Joe Lovano
Venue: Sunbury Plantation House, St. Philip.
Time: 8:00pm
Tickets: $80.00.

Sunbury Plantation House is over 300 years old, steeped in history, featuring mahogany antiques, old prints and a unique collection of horse-drawn carriages. This is the only great house, with all rooms available for viewing.

Venue: Heritage Park / The Rum Factory, St. Philip

Heritage Park at the Foursquare Rum Refinery is a showcase for Barbadian skills and talent. It features an Art Gallery, an Amphitheatre and an array of shops with exclusively locally-made products

The Sir Garfield Sobers Sports Complex (the Complex), which is situated in Wildey, St. Michael, was opened as a sporting facility in November 1992. The Construction of the Complex was part of a strategic initiative by the Government of Barbados to promote sports tourism.

The Complex, which is fully air-conditioned, is the island’s premier indoor multi-purpose facility, conceived and designed as a venue for large sporting and cultural events. The complex has a seating capacity of approximately 4,500 to 5,000 persons.

Ilaro Court – St. Michael‘ was designed and built 81 years ago by Lady Gilbert Carter, an accomplished American artist whose husband was Governor of Barbados from 1904 to 1911. This gracious mansion successfully combines Edwardian, Italian, and Caribbean features into a distinctive and individualistic whole. It boasts the first swimming pool in Barbados and a large, park-like garden with gazebo, fishpond and orchid house.

Saturday January 16th, 2010
Artists: Robin Thicke, Tizer with Lao Tizer featuring Karen Briggs and Bwakore
Venue: Farley Hill National Park, St. Peter
Time: 12:00 noon
Tickets: $80.00

One of the main highlights of this festival is the two-day open-air concert held at Farley Hill National Park with breathtaking scenery, set in the grounds of the once regal Farley Hill house. The film ‘Island in the Sun’ was filmed there in 1965, sadly later on that year the house was destroyed by fire.
